MACON, GA -- Two Southwest Georgia sex offenders were sentenced to federal prison Thursday.

33-year-old Jason A. Nash of Valdosta was sentenced to 4 years in prison for possession of child pornography.  Nash must also serve five years of supervised release upon completing his prison sentence and register as a sex offender.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says agents searched Nash’s home and found numerous child pornography still images and videos on his computer.

Another man from Valdosta, 26-year-old Solomon B. Kerse, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for distribution of child pornography.  Kersey must also twenty-five years of supervised release after completing his prison sentence and register as a sex offender.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation says agents searched Kersey’s home and found approximately 5,000 still images of child pornography and approximately 190 videos of child pornography. Agents say Kersey was using his computer to distribute child pornography over the Internet.
