ALBANY, GA. -- Earlier today, a jury found 56-year-old Monty Simpson guilty of felony murder, malice murder, and two counts of aggravated assault in the death of 51-year-old Beverly Williams.

Simpson was accused of beating Williams to death at the Dollar Inn Motel on North Slappey in March of 2010.

Williams was Simpson’s ex-girlfriend.

Sentencing was postponed but Simpson faces the possibility of life in prison without parole.

Both the prosecution and defense rested their cases in the murder trial of 56-year-old Monty Simpson.
