ALBANY, GA -- An Albany missionary group is back from Haiti.

First United Methodist Church sent 15 people to the country for a week. Four of the missionaries were students at Deerfield Windsor High School.

Monday the students showed pictures and talked to their classmates about their trip.

The students said they were shocked to see the conditions in the country a year after the earthquake.

“So many people live in tent cities and so many people live without the things that they need. The orphans there only get two meals a day. Some people there only get one meal a day depending on where they live,” said Lexie Harrison.

Some of the students said the trip was personally impactful, and are considering making a return trip to Haiti.
