Players discuss how to avoid addiction
DOUGLAS, GA. -- Four former NFL running backs that also played at the University of Georgia spoke at an event aimed to inspire greatness and avoid addiction.
Players included Tampa Bay Buccaneer Lars Tate, Cincinnati Bengal David McCluskey, Pittsburgh Steeler Tim Worley, and San Francisco 49er Keith Henderson. The players spoke to a large crowd about helping friends when they are in need - especially if they have a substance abuse problem.
All four players helped UGA teammate Andre Pulpwood Smith who led Georgia in rushing in 1984 prior to leaving for violating the substance abuse policy.
