Chehaw hosted "Teacher's Open House"
ALBANY, GA -- Teachers made their way out to Chehaw Thursday. The park teamed up with several organizations to host "Teacher’s Open House." The open house gives teachers the chance to check out exhibits featuring field trip opportunities.
Jackie Entz works at Chehaw. She says they host the event to show off local educational resources. “Unfortunately people think they have to go way out of town to get a cool field trip but hopefully after today people will be able to come locally for a field trip,” says Entz.
The Albany Civil Rights Institute, Albany Museum of Art, Darton’s A.B.L.E. Center, Flint RiverQuarium, and Thronateeska Heritage Center also participated in “Teacher's Open House.” Chehaw has participated in the open house for the past few years.
