ALBANY, GA -- The Southwest Georgia Regional Airport is back in business.

Flights began arriving late Wednesday night after four days of cancelations and delays.

Officials say the airport is running smoothly but much depends on the situation at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson.

"Even though Albany might be back to normal, Atlanta will probably not be for the next couple of days," said Yvette Aehle, the airport director. "They’ve got airplanes that are all over the country."

Restrictions on rest and sleep for flight crews could cause further delays in catching up with canceled flights.
