Airport officials say commercial air service resumed late Wednesday morning, only one flight cancellation was being reported for Wednesday night
ALBANY -- The winter storm has released some of its icy grip on air travel at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport in Albany.
Airport officials say commercial air service resumed late Wednesday morning with the arrival of one flight from Atlanta, but another incoming flight from Atlanta was canceled this afternoon.
Normal flight schedules are expected to be in place in Albany on Thursday, but airport officials advise calling the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport at 229-883-0548 or Delta Airlines at 1-800-221-1212 for the latest updates.
The Albany airport was forced to cancel all incoming and outbound flights on Monday and Tuesday because of heavy snow and ice accumulations at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
