Finalist for County Administrator come from Kentucky, Alabama and the commissioner's office
Lee County Commissioners named three finalists for the vacant County Administrator seat
LEE COUNTY, GA -- Lee County is one step closer to finding a new county administrator – a position that’s been vacant since last summer.
Commissioners named Interim Lee County Administrator Al Crace, Tony Massey of Kentucky and Michael Thompson of Alabama as finalists. They completed the interviews by Friday.
Lee County Commissioners say they hope to have a new county administrator in approximately two weeks.
“We’re looking for someone that’s a good fit for Lee County. We want someone that has a good rapport with our employees, we’re looking for a team player,” says Lee County Chairman Ed Duffy.
Commissioners also discussed the future of the Grand Island Club. They are considering raising member rates to make up for their $57,000 deficit from 2010.
Officials from the club say one issue they have is people playing golf but not using the grill room or renting carts. They do say the best months are coming in March, but commissioners say they aren’t sure spring business will be enough to set off the deficit.
