Fourth suspect arrested in Southwest Georgia murder case

TIFTON, GA -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation makes a fourth arrest in a Tift County murder case.  

GBI agents arrested 17-year-old Demetreus D'Angelo Lee this week in connection with the December shooting death of 22-year-old Andrew Lamar Thomas.  Investigators say Thomas was shot to death at a house on Gilliard Street in Tifton. Lee is charged with robbery by snatching.

Three other suspects face charges in Thomas’ murder; 18-year-old Dominque Nixon is charged with murder and armed robbery, 29-year-old Jamie Watts is charged with possession of cocaine and theft by receiving stolen property, and 17-year-old Michael Watts, Jr. is charged with robbery by sudden snatching and murder.

GBI Special Agent Mark Pro tells FOX 31 News that several weapons were confiscated in the case and that forensic testing on the weapons is currently being done.
