ALBANY, GA -- The Dougherty County Grand Jury indicts an alleged gang leader in connection to a fight that occurred on Front Street in April.

24-year-old Kharan Hines faces charges of aggravated assault, gang participation, and leading a gang.

District Attorney Greg Edwards says Hines is a leader of the Bloods gang in Albany.

Three others that reportedly took part in the fight are juveniles and were not named.

Hines could be sentenced for up to 45 years in prison if convicted on all charges – plus an additional 10 years for the gang participation charge.

No trial date has been set.
