Mega Millions up to 242 million
ALBANY, GA -- Millions of Lotto players look to start the New Year off with millions of dollars – 242 of them to be exact.
The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to 242 million.
Players in 40 states will be watching tonight’s drawing at 11 to see what brand of champagne they can afford to drink come midnight.
“This is end of the year – New Years – for some people to bring in a good new year,” said Nainesh Patel, owner of a local BP station. “So, everybody’s trying. We’re expecting a lot of people coming in to buy the tickets.”
Some players in Albany are buying 15 or 20 tickets at a time.
