ALBANY, GA -- Gas prices appear to be going up almost daily all across the U.S. and Southwest Georgia is no exception.

We drove around Albany scouting prices, which average about $3.02 for a gallon of regular unleaded.

Drivers says they aren't happy about 'breaking the bank' to get a full tank.

“They raise the prices when they want to because they know we need the gas. We got to pay the price no matter what it is,” said Willie Roberts.

“It costs! I have to fill up at least once week and sometimes again before the week is over,” said Kiedra Davis.

“I try to drive a lot less now. It's ridiculous. I put in $30 yesterday and it just gave me a half a tank,” said Travis Jackson.

More bad news, some oil executives predict gas prices will hit $5 a gallon by 2012.
