BROOKS COUNTY, GA (AP) -- A five-month probe into voter irregularities in Brooks County by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has resulted in 10 arrests.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says that three elected officials are among those arrested. Nancy Dennard, Linda Troutman and Elizabeth Thomas are all members or newly elected members of the school board. The GBI also said Lula Smart, April Proctor, Kechia Harrison, Sandra Cody, Robert Dennard, Latashia Head and Angela Bryant were also charged in connection with the scheme.

The allegations revolve around voter irregularities in the July 20 primary election that swung the outcome of three races.
