ALBANY, GA. -- Miss Historic Southern Plains pageant winner Carly Mathis treated some deserving kids to a Crossfit workout, healthy lunch, and a visit from Santa and Mrs Claus.

Mathis is spreading her platform message of heart health because it has directly affected many of her family members.  She wants to take the time to educate children and teenagers on how to stay active.

"Its so important for children to workout because not only does it make them healthier as a child, but it will develop healthy habits for the future" says Mathis.

After the workout and lunch the kids received early Christmas presents.

Mathis will compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 2011.
