21st Century Showcase includes NASA, Samsung

ALBANY, GA -- Parents and teachers in Dougherty County found creative ways to help students embrace tomorrow, today.

The 21st Century Learning and Technology and Curriculum Showcase was held at the Wetherbee Planetarium.

Vendors such as NASA and Samsung demonstrated creative ways to spark student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

"In education, we’re ranking at number 17 out of 27 countries so it’s very important that we teach our children the way that they learn now," said Wilena Clark of Xerox.

Presentations included video conferencing, 3-D projections, and virtual field trips.
