Commissioner Jack Stone has received numerous donations for belts

ALBANY, GA. -- Last week we aired a story about Commissioner Jack Stone donating belts to students at Turner Elementary School.

Since FOX 31 aired the story Commissioner Stone says he's received an outpouring of support.  The day after the story aired Stone says his phone began ringing off the hook with people thanking him for his donation and asking how they could help. "I've had several people call me and say that they would buy belts for kids at various schools which is great.  There are a lot of kids out there that don’t have belts and I want to help them out" says Stone.

Commissioner Stone's son was moved by the story and immediately purchased 100 belts for Turner students.

The monetary donations have been so great Commissioner Stone says the belt program will be able to spread to other schools.
