Tchywaski Jones and Dabkowski Luke, both 25-years old, were convicted in August of gang participation and aggravated assault in a gang-related shooting at Carver Pool
ALBANY, GA -- Two Albany gang members are headed to prison for their roles in a June 2009 shooting.
Tchywaski Jones and Dabkowski Luke, both 25-years old, were convicted in August of gang participation and aggravated assault in a gang-related shooting at Carver Pool.
Chief Superior Court Judge Willie Lockette sentenced both men to 10-years in prison and 10-years on probation for shooting Donald Winchester.
Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards told FOX 31 News today that Jerry Lee Harris, a co-defendant in the case, will be sentenced at a later date.
Edwards says as a condition of today's sentencing, Jones and Luke are also forbidden from entering Dougherty County and any surrounding counties during their probation. They are also ordered to avoid contact with any of the co-defendants, any known gang members, or Winchester.
Edwards said two other men connected to Winchester’s shooting, Jarnay Evans and Brandon Taylor, were given plea agreements for their testimony.
"The message today is clear, gang violence will not be tolerated in Dougherty County," said Edwards.
