ALBANY, GA -- Dozens of local children who have passed away were remembered Sunday night.

It was the Lights of Hope Remembrance Service, giving parents a chance to celebrate the lives of their deceased children with other parents and supporters.

“Christmas often is a lot about children, whether they are older or younger. I think the compassionate friends during this time of years to say that kids are still important, even if they are gone. We still remember our kids at Christmas like we do our children that are still living,” said Bruce Pittman.

There was music, speeches and a special picture board where parents could pin up photos of their child.
