ALBANY, GA -- Members of the Hasan Shrine Temple hosted a Christmas party Saturday for local patients of Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Shriners provided lunch for the patients and their families. Santa even stopped by the party to bring the patients presents.
The kids were thrilled about the stocking and presents they received, but parents say this is just one example of lifelong care their kids receive. Albany Shriners President Richard Martin says that’s because keeping kids healthy is their mission. “We want to show the kids that care and we’re there for them. They’re Shrine kids for life, we have some local members that have been shrine kids,” says Martin.
Shriners say they enjoy helping kids year round, but the Christmas party is always one of their favorite events.
