The Lily Pad officially merged with Cairo’s South Georgia Child Advocacy Center Wednesday.
ALBANY, GA -- One of the largest child advocacy programs in South Georgia is getting bigger. The Lily Pad officially merged with Cairo’s South Georgia Child Advocacy Center Wednesday.
Lily Pad also plans to merge with the Treehouse in Thomasville. Officials say the expansion will allow them to help children who are victims of abuse and sexual assault.
“We have started this expansion approximately four to five years ago and we have been working on expanding slowly as the need has come across our desk, and literally the need continues to become more and more evident to us,” said Lily Pad board chairman Cheryl Kaiser.
The Lily Pad will now serve 35 counties throughout Georgia.
