ALBANY, GA -- December 1st is World AIDS Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about AIDS and HIV.
But for people who have the disease, world aids day is every day. Deborah Glover has been HIV positive for 10 years.
She says the toughest part about having the disease is the perception other people might have.
“That's why a lot of people do not come forth and get tested or get help if they are HIV because of the shunning and what other people think about it,” said Glover.
On Wednesday she spoke to students at Albany State encouraging them to reach and support people with the aids or HIV.
