ATLANTA -- An Atlanta man is on his way to prison after admitting he sicced his pit bulls on a neighbor's puppies. The pit bulls killed an 8-month-old Shepherd mix, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The owner of the pit bulls, 68-year-old Wayde Clark, pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated cruelty to animals, aggravated assault, criminal trespass and public drunkenness, reported the AJC.

Police say the attack occurred in May when Clark entered a neighbor's yard on Spring Garden Drive.  Investigators say Clark was intoxicated at the time. A judge sentenced Clark to 10 years in prison, eight of them on probation.
