ALBANY, GA. -- A local group was out Monday night, helping spread the holiday cheer.

That’s when the Viper Unit Motorcycle Club held their fourth annual Thanksgiving basket giveaway. Every year they choose five families to surprise with baskets filled with turkeys, hams and other food that make the holidays that much brighter.

“They are very appreciative and grateful and they can't believe, you know, the goodness of what we're doing for them and everything,” said president Marvin Thomas.

They choose the families with the help of the Department of Family and Children Services.

Their entire year is spent raising money and canned goods for this event.
