ALBANY, GA -- Dougherty County Schools Superintendent Dr. Joshua Murfree spoke Sunday night at an NAACP banquet.

Murfree was the keynote speaker at Colquitt County annual fundraiser dinner.

The night’s theme was pursuing the dream, continuing the fight and celebrating the victory.

“We are going to continue the fight and we are victorious because we elected an African American president two years ago and we are celebrating that,” said Colquitt County NAACP Chapter President Isabella Brooks.

More than 100 NAACP members attended the banquet.
