Police donate 25 Thanksgiving meals for needy

ALBANY, GA -- The Dougherty County Police was on hunger patrol today.

St. Claire’s Neighbors in Need received a healthy donation of turkeys, canned food, and other items from DCP officers.

The food will be distributed to needy families for Thanksgiving.

"During the holidays, you know, it’s a critical time for families to get together and there are a lot of families in this area that don’t have food and money," said Det. Chad Kirkpatrick.

DCP estimates the food is enough to feed 25 families.
