Dougherty County 4-H Awards Ceremony honors local teens

ALBANY, GA. -- Local students and their parents participated in the Dougherty County 4-H awards program Thursday evening.

The 4-H is a nationwide youth development organization that helps teens with leadership development through hands on training.

Teens participate in workshops, seminars, volunteer activities, and competitions.

Dougherty County 4-H’ers received awards for their participation at the Georgia National Fair and regional events.

Some of the areas awarded include performing arts, public speaking, cooking, and dance.
