Local stores are looking for new employees

ALBANY, GA -- Some local stores are looking for new employees.

Seasonal positions are opening up just in time for the holidays. Rue 21 in the Albany Mall held a job fair Thursday to recruit new seasonal hires.

Associate Kenny Higgins says the store is currently looking to fill about a dozen positions. “This is our busiest time of year. We get a lot of business in, a lot of traffic in and out. It’s important to have a lot of people on our team so we can have a full staff to supervise everything going on around us,” says Higgins.

About 150 people have already applied at Rue 21, but store officials are still accepting applications and encourage more people to apply.
