ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia voters are set to decide whether to send U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson back to Washington for a second term.

The Republican incumbent is facing Democrat Mike Thurmond, the state's labor commissioner, and Libertarian Chuck Donovan in Tuesday's general election.

Isakson has branded himself as a conservative in opposition to the Democratic administration in Washington and vowed to cut taxes, control federal budget spending and repeal health care legislation backed by President Barack Obama.

Thurmond has touted his record as labor commissioner and experience with job creation.

Donovan, a veteran airline pilot, has questioned Isakson's conservative credentials and vowed to make cutting the federal budget his priority if elected.
