Crisp County High School ended their red ribbon week with a guest motivational speaker

ALBANY, GA -- Crisp County High School ended their red ribbon week with a guest motivational speaker.

Marcus Girard grew up in a high risk environment in Brooklyn, New York where he lost many of his friends to drugs, gangs, and violence. Girard decided to make a difference and developed a company called Youth and Adult Intervention Services.

Girard says the company is geared towards helping people overcome difficult situations that are a natural part of everyone's lives. “If we don't want them to do the drugs and alcohol we can't any longer do what I say not what I do, that doesn’t work with this generation we have to live up to what were telling them,” says Girard.

Girard is hoping to make his way back to Albany for more motivational speeches.
