State and regional NAACP officials gathered in the Good Life City to introduce Albany-Dougherty’s new interim officials

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany-Dougherty NAACP branch has leadership back in its office.

State and regional NAACP officials gathered in the Good Life City to introduce Albany-Dougherty’s new interim officials. Some of the appointed officials have had previous positions with the NAACP.

NAACP Georgia State Conference President Edward DuBose says it’s important to have officials guiding this branch. “In order to make this transition have to have someone to build unity the community is moving in different directions and these are gentlemen who the community can identify with,” says DuBose.

The local branch will hold office elections for permanent leadership; however state officials aren’t sure when that will happen.
