County Commissioners plan for a teen pregnancy prevention program

ALBANY GA -- County Commissioner Muarlene Edwards and City Commissioner Jon Howard are preparing to host a program to help prevent teen pregnancy.

The “Three R’s of Effective Parenting” class will focus on respect, responsibility, and rights.

Commissioner Edwards says it’s important to bring together all key players so teenagers get the full message of how a baby would impact their life.  “Law enforcement, mental health, and the district attorney will be there.  They are the people that deal with these kinds of things that impact the social ills that teens and their parents are confronted with” says Edwards.

The event is scheduled for December 4, 2010 at Turner Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
