MOULTRIE, GA. (AP) -- A prisoner who escaped from a work crew in Moultrie has been captured.

Authorities said 33-year-old Timothy Metrakos escaped Monday afternoon while working near Route 37. Officers with a police dog found him three-and-a-half hours later.

Metrakos is incarcerated at the Colquitt County Correctional Institute, which accepts minimum- and medium-security inmates. Warden Billy Howell said it was the first escape in three years.
