FORT BENNING, GA. (AP) -- The world's best shooters are in Georgia this week for the International Sniper Competition.

Two-man sniper teams from across the globe are competing in events that test their marksmanship and sniper skills. The competition is taking place at locations around Fort Benning.

Some events are spectator-friendly and open to the public.

The U.S. Army Sniper School was established in 1987 at the Infantry Center at Fort Benning and has a reputation for producing top-notch snipers. It is the longest-running sniper training course in the history of the U.S. Army.

The school hosts the competition, which is in its 10th year.
