ALBANY, GA -- As Monday continued, more arrests were made in connection with a theft by payroll forgery.

Chandra Thomas, 29, and Hjuana Florence, 25, worked for JR Loving Care on Dawson Road which oversees Certified Nursing Assistance.

Albany Police say the two used personal information of five to six individuals, who did not work for the business, and added them to the payroll. They say when the checks were cashed, the individuals kept a portion of the check and then gave another portion to Thomas and Florence.

Albany Police officials say Thomas and Florence were arrested and charged with ten counts of Computer Forgery/Computer Theft. Approximately $15,000 was stolen over five years.

Later on Monday four more arrests were made: Cheryl Jones Simpkins, 39, Vanessa Simpkins, 19, T’Kia Jackson, 18, and Kisa Porter, 38, were arrested for being a party to the crime. They are being charged on ten counts of Computer Theft.
