Officers arrested Demetrius Roberts at his house on East 22nd Avenue
CORDELE, GA -- A Cordele man is jailed on charges of possession of marijuana and possessing tools for a crime.
Officers arrested Demetrius Roberts at his house on East 22nd Ave. They say Roberts was growing marijuana plants inside his home by using artificial lights.
Investigators say Roberts called police early Thursday morning to report that his ex-girlfriend, Freda Hargrove was at his house and refused to leave.
Roberts reportedly allowed Hargrove to remove a heater from his home while police were there, and as officers watched her go into an adjacent room, they saw a marijuana plant being dried in that room.
Police searched the home and say they found several marijuana plants.
Hargrove was charged with criminal trespass, and both subjects are being held in the Crisp County Detention Center.
