ATLANTA (AP) -- Atlanta police say a 2-year-old boy chased his mother's car down the street after she left him and his brother at a daycare without permission.

The mother, 25-year-old Kathelia Grier, has been charged with reckless conduct.

Police say Grier arrived at the daycare after the deadline for dropping off children Wednesday. Police say she asked if she could still leave her 2-year-old and 4-year-old sons. But police say she drove off when the daycare worker went inside to call the owner to ask if the boys could stay.

The 4-year-old went inside while the younger boy chased after his mother's car calling for her.

Police say neighbors saw the boy running in the street and called 911.
