36-year-old Fausto Leonel Morales De Paz died of trauma to the head and chest

COLQUITT COUNTY, GA -- A Saturday night car crash in Colquitt County kills a man from Omega.  The wreck happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ellenton-Omega Road and Crosland-Lenox Road.

The Colquitt County Sheriff's Department tells FOX 31 News that 36-year-old Fausto Leonel Morales De Paz died of trauma to the head and chest.  Authorities say De Paz, who was driving a Volkswagen Jetta, ran a stop sign and collided with a Chevy van. 

De Paz and the front-seat passenger were pinned in the car, while two passengers in the back seat were able to exit the vehicle.  The passengers and other driver were treated for minor injuries.

De Paz was pronounced dead at 11:20 p.m.
