Children from Little Learners Academy now know how to ride a city bus
ALBANY, GA -- One city bus became a school bus Wednesday.
Children from Little Learners Academy now know how to ride a city bus. Students were taught how to look at the bus, read where the bus is going, how to actually wait at a stop sign, and pay a fair just like any other customer. It was all part of the daycare’s transportation week, where the kids learn about different modes of getting around.
Transit Director Dwaine Cosby says it’s also important to teach kids about the bus system early because the direction society is heading. “With the world concentrating on greener efforts it’s to our advantage to have younger individuals learn at a younger age to be able to take mass transit,” says Cosby.
The students also learned about airplanes and ended their day with a bus trip back to school.
