ALBANY, GA -- Several ladies donned their best hats for a good cause Sunday afternoon.
Cafe 230 hosted the Ladies in Hats Benefit Luncheon.
Organizers say the event helps raise funds, but also acts as a support group for people with or affected by cancer.
“The hats are just donning hat in support of somebody whose life has been touched by cancer. Everybody who goes through chemo doesn't necessarily lose their hair but some of them do, so instead of a wig or something like that, some people enjoy wearing hats,” said Jennifer Dyson.
Proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
