The two littered Ga. 140 with rocks, tree limbs, tires, glass, nails and stolen road signs
CANTON, GA. (AP) -- Authorities arrested a 17-year-old and a juvenile accomplice on charges of littering a busy highway with debris that severely damaged three cars.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said Brandon Thomas Alford and a younger friend were arrested Wednesday night after deputies received reports the two littered Ga. 140 with rocks, tree limbs, tires, glass, nails and stolen road signs.
Authorities say deputies on surveillance duty spotted Alford and the juvenile approaching the road on foot and charged them after questioning.
Alford is charged with reckless conduct, terroristic acts, criminal damage to property, among other charges. He is in Cherokee County Jail on a $13,240 bond.
The juvenile faces similar charges and was released to his parents.
