The RiverQuarium's inaugural event receives praises from families
ALBANY, GA -- More than 350 people showed up throughout the day for the first Wings and Wildlife Festival at the Flint RiverQuarium. Events went on all day, from alligator feedings to a “Birds of Prey” show. The RiverQuarium even hosted a guided canoe tour along the river.
Plenty of activities were available to the kids. Parents say a favorite among the children was a bird house construction station.
Thronateeska Heritage Center also participated in the festival, inviting guests to a planetarium show and to listen to professional story tellers.
Event coordinators say they hope people took away an appreciation for Southwest Georgia wildlife.
