Woman faces 11 counts after eluding officers

ALBANY GEORGIA -- A Sylvester woman is in some serious trouble with the law and facing 11 criminal counts.

20-year-old Merritt Bennett Speight was arrested Friday night in Tift County.

Georgia State Patrol officers say they tried to stop her but she wouldn't pull over. They finally got her to stop at Ridge Avenue near Highway 520.

Among her charges are; driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to stop at a stop sign, possession of marijuana and DUI by a person under 21.
