More than 200 people showed up for NICU Babies Graduation

ALBANY, GA -- Some babies and their families were celebrating at Phoebe Putney on Saturday. About 200 people showed up at Phoebe Healthworks for this year’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Babies Graduation.

Former NICU patients and their families came out to celebrate life and moving forward. NICU nurses say they love the celebration because it lets them reconnect with past patients.

“Whenever we spend so much time with these babies when they’re little, we always wonder, well how are they doing now? It’s just a great way to come back and see how everybody is,” says NICU Nurse Stephanie Covey.

Nurses say they are also grateful for the Children’s Miracle Network, which helped host Saturday’s event.
