Marine Corps Logistics Base spent the morning honoring all prisoners of war and those who have gone missing in action
ALBANY, GA -- As the 9th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks approaches, the Marine Corps Logistics Base spent the morning honoring all prisoners of war and those who have gone missing in action. The base held its 24th annual Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Recognition Breakfast.
The event recognizes all service members who are ex-POW’s or still listed as unaccounted for- alive or deceased. Ex-POW Lee James says the experience was worse for some, and he was one of the luckier. “I didn’t really get any physical abuse. The whole camp was on starvation diet,” says James
And with 9-11 around the corner, the breakfast reminds residents of all the Americans who were prisoners or never returned home while defending our country.
