Georgia State Patrol monitors accidents, injuries, and deaths over the holiday weekend

ALBANY, GA -- The Georgia State Patrol is monitoring the 2010 Labor Day Weekend traffic count. 

The holiday weekend began Friday September 3, 2010 at 6 p.m. and they will end at midnight Monday September 6, 2010.

In 2009 Georgia State Patrol reported 1,917 accidents, 867 injuries, and 15 deaths.

As of 5 p.m. Monday night the Georgia Department of Public Safety is reporting 280 crashes, 161 injuries, and 9 deaths.
