TIFTON, GA -- Tifton police are investigating a home invasion and armed robbery at a house on Ermine Avenue.

The name of the 27-year-old victim has not been released, but the man told police that he answered his front door around 3 o’clock Thursday morning only to see a gun pointed in his face.  The victim claims a black man forced him back inside his house while another black man stood outside the door.

The man with the pistol reportedly ordered the victim to hand over his money.  The two robbers took $300 and ran away, firing two shots in the air as they dashed into an alley between Alder Street and Elm Street.

Police checked the area for the robbers but they couldn’t find them.
