Albany Firefighters are still looking for the arsonist responsible for an early Wednesday morning car fire

ALBANY, GA -- Albany Firefighters says arson is to blame for an early Wednesday morning car fire.  Officials are now looking at surveillance video from nearby stores. Firefighters responded to a call at 133 Westcott Lane around 2 a.m. and found two cars half engulfed in flames.

Fire officials say after the fire was extinguished, they found a melted gas can and a busted bottle with a rag stuffed in it. Fire Chief James Carswell says they have a person of interest. “Everything indicates right now it is a domestic type situation and the two vehicles belonged to the victim of the domestic situation,” says Carswell.

Carswell says they are still investigating the case. The cars are completely totaled.
