TIFTON, GA -- 20-year-old Adrianna Denise Pierce has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the May 2009 stabbing death of her 17-year-old brother, Joel Hendley. 

Police say Pierce stabbed Henley twice in the chest with a kitchen knife during an argument at the siblings’ home on South Park Avenue.

According to police reports, one of Henley’s wounds was superficial while the other penetrated his chest and apparently punctured his heart. 
Henley was rushed to Tift Regional Medical Center where he died during surgery.

Tift Superior Court Judge Melanie Cross is scheduled to sentence Pierce on Sept. 7.
