THOMASVILLE, GA -- Drug agents say they shut down a meth lab Monday morning at a mobile home in Thomasville.

Agents say bunk beds blocked the entrance to the mobile home at 1800 Sanford Road, so they broke a side glass door to get inside.  They reportedly caught 32-year-old Clifton Peo and 31-year-old Sarah Moore cooking up a fresh batch of meth.

“We’ve been getting information on them for a long time about cooking and using meth,” said Kevin Lee, Commander of the Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division.

Lee says his agents found an active meth lab with several methamphetamine components, including salt, a generator, and drain cleaner.  A .22-caliber rifle also was found.  Several grams of finished meth were found, along with needles used to inject the drug.  Lee said glass baking containers and spoons found at the mobile home were used in the process of dissolving methamphetamine that would be injected with a hypodermic syringe.

“They had the potential to supply meth to numerous people,” said Lee. “Anytime you’re cooking meth, you’re a dealer.”

Peo and Moore are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug-related objects. Peo also is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Thomas County Jail records show Peo has been arrested 10 times in Thomas County; all offenses are drug cases.

Peo and Moore are both from Tallahassee, Florida.  One of Peo’s relatives owns the mobile home where the bust took place.
