CORDELE, GA. -- Four teens have been arrested in connection with the robbery and beating of a local resident who was attacked just after 3 a.m. Tuesday in the Sunset Homes area on 22nd Ave. in Cordele.
Sgt. Wayne Hubbard of the Cordele Police Department said the victim was punched and kicked repeatedly by the four teens, who then robbed him.
The four suspects were arrested on the scene and three of them allegedly provided false information about the incident.
Charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and giving false statements were 17-year-old Rondell “Doodua” Ashley, 19-year-old Andrea Grant, and a 16-year-old juvenile who cannot be identified under Georgia law since he’s under age 17. He also was cited for a curfew violation.
The fourth suspect, 18-year-old James Harvey, was charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
Ashley, Grant, and Harvey were taken to the Crisp County Law Enforcement Center. The juvenile was transported to the Youth Detention Center.
